In order to become a member of the SATS, a SATS
representative will arrange to visit your home for an
assessment. If you are eligible, you may purchase a
membership and driving tickets. An SATS membership is
$20.00 per year and each volunteer driving ticket is $7.00.
After you have purchased your SATS membership and
have volunteer driving tickets, please call the SATS office
(780-732 - 1221) giving us at least three days notice
before you need a ride. Please note that calls on
Saturday/Sunday are considered as received on Monday.
We can and do take ride requests months in advance.
After you have called the SATS office, we will call a
volunteer driver, who will then contact you to confirm all the
details of your trip. Please ensure that you notify both the
SATS office and volunteer about any special information
(ie: require assistance with groceries, have a walker, etc).
Please remember that our SATS volunteer drivers cannot
under any circumstances book rides, accept cash, or
purchase driving tickets for you. Also please note that all
parking costs are the responsibility of the member, not the
volunteer driver.
